In August 2025, Ms Howard-Bender (Ms HB) accepted the position as the Ludlow High School Assistant Principal. Ms HB strongly believes in the ability of every single student to become their best self, and she actively advocates for the right set of conditions to ensure that every student can do this.
Ms HB received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena College where she majored in English with concentrations in Education and Spanish. She earned a Masters of Science in Reading and Language Arts from Central Connecticut State University. She also earned a Sixth Year Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut.
Ms HB taught for seventeen years in middle and high schools in Connecticut and Arizona before moving into administration in 2015. She is truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the families of Ludlow.
Ms HB is married and has two daughters, and a dog named Saoirse (seer’-shah).
