He was awarded the 2019-2020 District Athletic Director of the Year for the Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference (PVIAC). According to the MSSADA this award is a reflection of Brillo’s dedication and commitment to interscholastic athletics in the state of Massachusetts.

Brillo’s educational philosophy is centered around the importance of a well rounded student that balances academics and athletics.

“From the standpoint of athletics it promotes lifelong learning while enhancing a student's achievement of their educational goals. The vision of LHS Athletics is to achieve a WE>Me mind set. We can accomplish so much together when no one cares who gets the credit.”

During his free time Brillo can be found rooting for any and all Boston Sports teams and spending time with his family- his wife Kristen and daughters Avery and Julia, both LHS graduates.
