Mr. Brillo began his career at Ludlow High School in 1994 as a Physical Education teacher and in 2010 he was selected to fill the position of Director of Athletics. During his time at LHS he also has been a well-respected coach of football, track and field and recently completed his 24th year as the head coach for the varsity girls' basketball team.
He earned his B.S. in Movement Science from Westfield State College in 1992, a Masters in Health Science from Madison University 2006 and became a Certified Athletic Administrator from NIAAA in 2019
Brillo is a member of additional professional organizations including the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association
(NIAAA)- earning the distinction of Certified Athletic Administrator, the MA Basketball Coaches Association and the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA)- was a member of their Board of Directors from 2018 to 2020.
He was awarded the 2019-2020 District Athletic Director of the Year for the Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference (PVIAC). According to the MSSADA this award is a reflection of Brillo’s dedication and commitment to interscholastic athletics in the state of Massachusetts.
Brillo’s educational philosophy is centered around the importance of a well rounded student that balances academics and athletics.

During his free time Brillo can be found rooting for any and all Boston Sports teams and spending time with his family- his wife Kristen and daughters Avery and Julia, both LHS graduates.
